Abstract
A tourist-dedicated train is a combination of railway passenger transport and tourism activities. It is very important for railway operation departments to draw up a reasonable line plan of tourist-dedicated trains to attract passengers, improve brand influence, and occupy market share in tourism transportation. For these reasons, it is necessary evaluate line plans of tourist-dedicated trains to create a reasonable line plan. First, this paper analyses the needs and characteristics of the rationality evaluation of a line plan for a tourist-dedicated train. Then, we applied a method that combines qualitative and quantitative analysis of five aspects of the relevant evaluation index, which are the economic benefits, capacity utilization, technical indices, passenger service satisfaction, and social benefits, and built an evaluation index system. Then, a method based on entropy weight-vague was designed to evaluate, compare, and select the rationality of tourist-dedicated train line plans. Finally, the applicability of the evaluation method was verified by an example. The results show that the evaluation index system can be used as the basis for compiling rationality evaluation. The evaluation method is also feasible and effective, and the evaluation results can be used as guidance for compiling or adjusting a line plan for a tourist-dedicated train.
